(1) IN HOME DOG GROOMING: We all know that our furry family members hate being away from us. Now they don’t have to be. Here at Sunbeam Pups we help you take care of your furry family members with IN HOME PET GROOMING. We come to your home with all the tools and equipment needed to pamper your pups. During the warmer months we can groom them in the safety of your back yard. But most of the time, and especially during colder months, we work in a bathroom, kitchen, laundry room, or garage. All you need to provide is access to water, electricity, your precious pups, and maybe (If your pup is extra nervous, sick, or old) yourself.
For many pups, just being at home alleviates the stress of going to a grooming salon where they have to be away from you for hours and hours. But for others, they still need your calming presence to help them face the process with as much comfort as possible. That is our goal here at Sunbeam Pups, to make the grooming process something both you and your pet can look forward to.
In order to help achieve this, we have focused our business on providing one-on-one care for your pups. They will have our undivided attention during each grooming session. And they will have all the patience they need while undergoing the physical manipulation that is a necessary part of the grooming process. We also welcome your participation in the grooming process when needed for you or your pup. (But we do warn that some people struggle with watching their dogs being groomed, and some dogs struggle if they see their people during the grooming process. So, if your presence it making the process harder on your pups, we will ask you to step away- for their safety, our safety, and yours.)
Sunbeam Pups is a Mobile Business based out of the Inland Empire, specifically near Taft Elementary School. Because we have decided to focus on patient, In-home grooming, we will not charge based on the type of service, but based on the amount of time it takes to finish the grooming appointment.
Pricing
(1) The base price for a Grooming Appointment is $60. This is the minimum charge for any grooming appointment and covers the first hour. The time begins when the appointment is scheduled to begin. (If the groomer is late for any reason, your fee will not be effected. However, if you are late, the time will be considered part of the grooming appointment.
(2) A mobile fee of $1 for every (starting at 5 miles) will be added to that based on the distance from our home base in the Mission Grove and Canyon Crest area of Riverside to your home. (Gas is expensive, and traffic is horrible. We have to account for that so that we can pay our groomers a fair wage for their time.) The max distance we can travel for a grooming appointment is 25 miles.
(3) After the first hour the price is $15 for each additional half hour, or $30 for each hour the groomer spends at your home. Groomers will not rush an appointment. The goal of Sunbeam Pups is to provide as calm of a groom as possible.
Note: The price is based on the time, not the number of dogs. If you have two well behaved short coated dogs who can be groomed in under 60 minutes, you will only be charged the $60 and any mobile fee.
Some factors that will effect the time needed to groom your dog/s are their (1) size, (2) the condition of their coat, and (3) any special treatment they need because of their temperament and/or health. and age.
Each grooming appointment includes the following services: nails clipped or filed, ears cleaned, bath with shampoo (and conditioner as needed), blow dry, and a brush out (as needed). Depending of the needs of your particular breed, the grooming appointment could also include a hair cut, a de-shed treatment, or a de-matting treatment. There are no extra fees for these treatments, just the fee for the added time.
Optional Treatments (With extra fees)
(A) Painted Nails (With dog safe nail polish pens) = $10+ (+ is based on temperament)
(B) Teeth Brushed (with complementary tooth brush) = $10+ (+ is based on temperament)
(C) Flea Treatment Shampoo = $10+ (+ is based on the need for multiple treatments if the flea infestation is extra bad.)
We DO NOT express anal glands, or treat injuries of any kind. At Sunbeam Pups we are trained dog groomers, not Veterinarians or Vet Tech’s. But we will love and pamper your pups so that they can feel clean and refreshed.
(2) PET/ HOUSE SITTING: During each 30 minute visit our pet sitter will let your dog/s out back to do their business, check for any accidents in the house, put out their food, and give them lots of love and attention. After all, they are missing you- they need those hugs, and some play time. (If you can be contacted by text, the pet sitter can also send you pictures of your furry family members at each visit.)
- One 30 Minute Visit a Day is $40 (a 60 minute visit is $60.)
- Two 30 Minute Visits a Day is $35 for each visit
- Three or more 30 Minute Visits a Day are $30 for each visit
- Neighborhood Discounts are available if you live in the immediate vicinity of the Canyon Crest and Mission Grove area of Riverside. One Visit a Day starts at $30 -> $25 for two visits a day -> $20 for three visits a day.
- Holiday Rates: Pet Sitting Visits are DOUBLE on Holidays. This applies the day before, the day of, and the day after a holiday. (For example, July 3rd, 4th, and 5th.)

- Unfortunately we cannot board dogs, so we recommend multiple visits a day.
(3) DOG WALKING: Each visit will last approximately 30 minutes. The distance and vigor of the walk will depend on the health of the dog and how long it takes to get them ready to walk. The goal is to walk the dog/s for at least a mile.
Prices are based on two dogs, assuming they walk well together. (Don’t worry. We don’t expect perfection.) If you have more dogs, or challenging walkers we will have to make adjustments based on the needs of the dog. An additional $5 will be added to the fee for each walk and for each additional dog (3+ dogs) , assuming they can be walked together.
- The first walk of the Day or Week is $40
- If you book multiple walks a week they are $35 for each walk
- For Regular Clients who book walks a minimum of 3 days a week, the base fee is $30 a walk.

(4) VETERINARY VISITS: Do you need help getting your animal to the vet. I am happy to drive you there and help you care for the animal while we are there. This service is $40 an hour with a minimum of a two hour commitment. The time starts at our scheduled meeting time and includes the time spent driving you and/or your pup to and from the vet’s office (and any time spent in consultation with you before and after the visit if I take the pet there on my own).
(5) POOP WALKS: Dogs have to relieve themselves, just like us. If you need help cleaning up your yard, let me know. It will cost between $25-$45 for weekly customers (based on the number of dogs).
